Active war and conflict continue to be a challenge that plagues many countries across the world and especially Sub-Saharan Africa. The consequences are gruesome: displacements, destruction of homes, loss of lives, poverty etc. The youth, who are usually any nation’s economic background becomes a wasted generation and become targets of manipulation and exploitation to perpetrate war and violence.
Peace Power Foundation brings together young leaders (16 – 30 years old) from communities of conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa, through the design and implementation of programs centered around peace education, conflict transformation, entrepreneurial leadership and financial education. Through our uniquely contextualized programs, we empower and equip these young leaders with tools of not only changing the narratives of conflict in their communities of origin but also with problem solving capabilities that enable them to design innovative solutions to needs in their communities.
